DESCRIPTION
A tourniquet is a device intended to stop bleeding from an injury and to completely stop arterial bleeding in the extremities in emergency situations, by restricting blood circulation to a specific part of the body. It is applied with a strong positional bandage to an extremity (arm or leg) in order to stop uncontrolled bleeding. It is easy to use with one hand. It can be placed by a rescuer or by the patient himself, as it allows easy adjustment of the required pressure.
